Strategic Plan Outline:
| Year 1: Building a Foundation | •Obtain an initial $2k for operational buffer -Guarantee overhead costs covered pending 501(c)3 determination -Allow opening of bank account; cleaner financial records -Allow for a refresh of communalconversations.com -Shift all focus to program development for the remainder of the academic year •Program Development -C^4 (Communal Conversations Community Canvassing)* –“Why should I vote?” -Mentor Mentee –Domestic Violence Organization Partnership —ASP initial, expansion long term -College Conversation –Develop a partnership with higher-ed institution •Receive 501(c)3 determination •Cultivate relationships with core group of state and local officials •Establish access to ready-made audiences •Establish donation model to allow communities to follow and support CC •Refine networking strategy and communication strategy •Bring in new BOD members |
| Year 2: Building the Platform | •Media Platform Established -Published Community Report, Are you smarter than a/Dumb questions, Recorded “Essay” performances, OP-EDs, etc. -Website, Social Media, Physical Media, Alt. Media, etc. •Scholastic Relationships Developed -Lake County, Cook County -Middle, High, Community College, University – One each -Civic Programming Model established -One Assembly!! -Find a College to host sustained programming |
| Year 3: Building Our Institution | •Major focus on turnout in state and local elections -Work closely with County Clerks to disseminate election night data -Be able to directly measure CC impact on voter participation -Special Pre/Post election programming ***NON PARTISAN, CIVICS ORIENTED, INFORMATIONAL AND NON BIASED*** •Develop specific benchmarks to track community impact •Inform policy discussions at state and local levels |
